Registration for NEW members opens on Feb. 14, 2012 at 12:00 AM.
Spring Season officially begins on Monday Feb. 27, 3:00 PM in the Bromfield IT Room.
The following forms must be submitted in order to complete your registration:
If your registration is NOT 100 % complete on the first day of practice you will NOT be allowed to practice with the team. You can turn in your forms and fees the following 2 ways:
1. You can drop your forms and payment in the Bromfield Main Office during normal school hours. There is a special lock box for the Bromfield-AB Rowing Team in the office.
2. You can bring your forms and payment with you to the first day of practice on February 27 at 3:00 PM in the Bromfield IT Room.
The following items must be completed before your registration is considered 100 % complete:
1. Complete and submit the Online Registration form below
2. Check made payable to BHRA for the entire registration fee.
New Rowers Grades 8-12 from Bromfield: $525.00
New Rowers Grades 8-12 from AB: $575.00 (Includes $50 tariff paid to Harvard Park & Rec by BHRA for non-town participant facility use).
3. Submit a hard copy of a Physical dated 1/27/2011 or later.
4. BHRA Consent and and Release of Liability Form. Click here to open the form.
5. Parent/Athlete Head Injury Disclosure Form. Click here for the Head Injury Form that MUST be signed and submitted each season. As of the Fall of 2011, it is a Massachusetts State Law that ALL athletes and parents are required to take a FREE online course called “Concussion in Sports: What You Need to Know”. The website for the course is www.nfhslearn.com. Once you create a log in for yourself, select the concussion course and “purchase” it for $0. Then go to “My Courses” to view and complete the course. It will take about 15 minutes to complete. After this course is completed you must sign the disclosure form and turn it in as part of your registration materials.
6. Swim Test. Click here to open the form. You must be able to pass a swim test in order to row on the team.
Team Policies: No participant will be allowed to attend training or practice without submitting all required and satisfactorily completed paperwork and having paid the session fee in full and in advance of February 27, 2012. NO REFUND of fees will be issued except for medical/injury withdrawal within the first 3 weeks of the start of the Spring 2012 season. The only exception is if you are a potential new rower from AB and you do not make the team after the try out period, your registration fee will be refunded in full.
