Overview

BHRA offers both competitive and learn to row opportunities on Bare Hill Pond during the summer. Our programs operate under the umbrella of Bare Hill Rowing Association, Inc., a 501(c) (3) non-profit recreational and educational organization.

Competitive Youth PROGRAM

Open to Bromfield Acton-Boxborough current team members in grades 8 through 12 and alumni/ae. 
The goal of summer rowing is to help our BABR athletes improve technique by becoming proficient in a sculling boat as well as maintain fitness and enhance racing skills.  No prior sculling experience is needed. 

LEARN TO ROW - Introduction to sculling (2 oars)
Open to the public, all ages, rising 6th grade to adult.
Offered at three skill levels:  

Basics 1: no experience
Basics 2 : limited experience
Intermediate: completed Basics 1 and/or 2 

SCULLING LEVEL II
Level II Sculling is for the individual who has completed  Learn to Row: Intermediate level sculling program or has previous sculling/sweep rowing experience and wants a quick refresher course.

EXPERIENCED ADULT
Independent sculling for adults with sculling experience. No water supervision or instruction is provided. Open to Harvard residents and parents of Bromfield Acton-Boxborough team members. See our adult programs for more information.
