Gary Piantedosi
Varsity Boys Coach
 

Gary is a self-proclaimed Math nerd. He said his highest honor before joining the rowing team at MIT was the president of the Math Club. At MIT, he trained as a mechanical engineer. Gary's college crews won silver from '73 - '75 at both the Eastern Sprints and the IRA's. Gary was a spare for the US team at the 1974 World Championships, raced at the 1975 Pan American Games, placing fourth in the straight pair, and raced at the 1976 Olympics in the straight four. 

Today, Gary is an avid masters and open ocean rowing competitor. A Harvard resident, Gary is the owner and manager of Alden Rowing, a major recreational rowing boat manufacturer located in West Concord, MA. 

Gary has extensive coaching experience and a wealth of rowing knowledge. He joins our team in the spring of 2017 as the Varsity Boys Assistant Coach.
