NOVICE
Practice days: Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays
Practice times: 3:30pm - 5:00pm

Location: Bare Hill Pond, Harvard
- We do have enrollment limitations due to equipment. 20 girls and 20 boys.
- No Bromfield student will be turned away. If we exceed 20 in either gender, we will limit enrollment of that team based on a "tryout period" not to exceed September 10th for ABRHS students.
Program Description
This program is designed for students who are new to rowing or athletes moving up from the Middle School Sculling program, who are in the 9th grade or above and who attend the Bromfield School, Acton-Boxborough Regional High School or are Harvard resident students in Grades 9-12 attending a publicly funded charter, technical or vocational school, and who are motivated to:
- Learn to row or gain more rowing experience.
- Develop in a team environment and participate in the Leaf Raking and Ergathon fundraisers.
- Learn to challenge themselves mentally and physically.
- Compete in Novice category races at a competitive level.
- Learn to work hard and have fun!
Program Prerequisites
- Must be able to commit to 5 practices a week. Some Saturdays may need to be included.
- Must be available for regattas on select weekends. See Race Schedule, above.
VERY IMPORTANT! You need to become a member of USRowing before starting registration. You will need to provide Member number and expiration date during registration. Membership must be good through the fall season and expire after November 30, 2023. Go to this link for instructions BEFORE REGISTERING.
