Safety is a top priority for the Harvard Henley Regatta.  Operating safely and taking steps to reduce the risk of COVID-19 and its spread is the shared responsibility of every individual participating in BHRA programs and regattas.  If you are feeling unwell or have any of the symptoms associated with COVID-19, do not come to the regatta. If you have been notified that you are to be quarantined due to potential COVID exposure, please honor that and do not attend the Harvard Henley. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.

Welcome to the 8th Annual Harvard Henley! Our goal is to create a unique event for our high school program that mirrors the Henley Royal Regatta in England. A round robin of dual racing between four teams will offer the opportunity for crews to have multiple races in one regatta. Weather permitting, we invite spectators to line the race course in human-powered crafts (such as canoes and kayaks) to watch the racing up close. 

The Henley Royal Regatta, founded in 1839, is famous both as a great sporting occasion and as a social event; people come from all over the world to attend, either as competitors or as spectators. Winning an event at Henley has always been considered one of the greatest achievements of a rower’s career, even amongst those who have become world champions; and a rowing life is not complete if it does not include competing at Henley.

Since our regatta is based on a round robin of racing and a random draw, the awarding of points will be as follows:

• One point awarded to a team for each win.
• Points will be awarded to varsity and novice events with three or more competitors only.
• “Small Boat” events do not count towards the trophy.

If there is a tie in the overall results, the team with the greatest number of wins at the varsity level will be declared the winner. If there is a tie in the varsity results, we then look at the number of team wins in the novice events.

"The Pummy"
Clara Endicott Sears, the founder of the Fruitlands Museums commissioned Pumunangwet, “He Who Shoots The Stars”, which was installed next to the Native American Museum in 1931. The heroic size sculpture commemorates the Native American past and is meant to symbolized aspirations, hopes, and goals.
Created by Clara Endicott Sears' cousin, Philip Sheldon Sears, and cast by the Gorham Manufacturing Company.

"The Arte"
Artemis was one of the most widely venerated of the Ancient Greek deities. Her Roman equivalent is Diana. The daughter of Zeus and Leto, and twin sister of Apollo. Artemis' traits were strength, independence, courage and confidence.
She was the Hellenic goddess of the hunt, and protector of women, the land and animals.
